ITINERARY

Day 1 (Tue)
London - Tokyo
Depart from London Heathrow on Japan Airlines. (dinner on board)
Day 2 (Wed)
Tokyo
Arrive Tokyo Narita Airport and transfer to the hotel on your own (public shuttle bus).
Free to relax at the hotel.
For dinner, choose from buffet dinner at the the hotel's Hapuna restaurant, or izakaya (Japanese pub-style) dinner with unlimited drinks (2 hours)

Shinagawa Prince Hotel Tokyo
Day 3 (Thu)
Tokyo

A half day sightseeing tour of Tokyo with English-speaking guide, including Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Arcade. Then make your way to the famous Tsukiji Fish Market for a sushi lunch at Tsukiji Sushi Kiyomura restaurant, fiollowed by a stroll around the fish market itself.

Day 4 (Fri)
Tokyo

Free at leisure to explore Tokyo until dinner.

Informa dinner at pub-style "En" restaurant in Shiodome, with a beautiful view of Tokyo by night from the 42nd floor.

Day 5 (Sat)
Tokyo - Nagoya
After checking out of the hotel, walk across to Shinagawa station and take the Shinkansen ("Bullet train") to Nagoya. Our train is the Nozomi, the fastest of the bullet trains.
Before getting on the train, remember to buy an “obento” Japanese lunch-box.
After arriving at Nagoya, transfer to the hotel on your own.
Optional 1: Nagoya afternoon tour with English-speaking guide
Optional 2: Enjoy local cuisine of Nagoya at local restaurant for dinner.

Day 6 (Sun)
Nagoya
Full day excursion to see women pearl divers at work, and the Ise Shinto shrine. Lunch is included. lunch: Japanese style

Day 7 (Mon)
Nagoya - Kyoto
After checking out of the hotel, transfer to Nagoya station on foot to catch the 11:00 "Nozomi" Bullet train to Kyoto.
On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Kyoto.
In the afternoon, go to a local sweet shop and learn how to make Japanese nerikiri sweets. Then relax and enjoy a cup of Japanese green tea.

Day 8 (Tue)
Kyoto

A half day sightseeing tour of Kyoto with English-speaking guide.
Kyoto was the nation's capital from 794 to 1858. The city is dominated by its 2,000 temples, and is said to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Kyoto is also the centre for traditional Japanese culture, such as the tea ceremony, Ikebana (flower arranging) and Kimono.
After the tour, a choice of lunch: a buffet of local Kyoto cuisine at "Kuoroba-tei" restaurant, or okonomiyaki, a speciality of nearby Osaka.
After lunch, stroll around the traditional Gion district of Kyoto, with its narrow streets and wooden houses.

In the evening, why not take dinner at one of the many restaurants along the river.

Kyoto

Full day free at leisure.

Today's optional tour offers you an insight into Japanese culture in a local home, and hands-on experience of making Japanese food: teriyaki chicken or tempura and sushi.

Kyoto-Osaka airport - London
Transfer by shuttle bus to Osaka Kansai Airport for Japan Airlines flight to London via Tokyo. on board
