| Day 2 Tokyo - Osaka Kansai - Kyoto |
Arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport and connect for onward flight to Osaka Kansai airport. On arrival, staff from transfer company to meet at customs exit and assist boarding minibus (sharing) to hotel in Kyoto. | Hotel, Kyoto |

Half day city tour with English-speaking guide including Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto Imperial Palace, ending at Kyoto Handicraft Centre. Drop-off service to hotel is offered by Kyoto Handicraft Centre. | Hotel, Kyoto |
| Day 4 Kyoto - Tokyo |
Transfer to Kyoto station for bullet train to Tokyo. On arrival, half day city tour with English-speaking guide including Seaside Top Observatory, Sumida river cruise, Asakusa Kannon Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade, drive through Ginza to the Imperial Palace Plaza. | Day 5 Tokyo - Mt.Fuji - Hakone - Tokyo |
Full day excursion to Mt.Fuji and Hakone with English-speaking guide, including Fuji Visitor Centre and the 5th station up Mount Fuji. After a Japanese-style lunch, continue to Togendai Hakone Ropeway, the Owakunani Valley, and a cruise on the Togendai Pirate Boat. Return to Odawara station for bullet train back to Tokyo. Tour disbands at Tokyo station 20:30-21:30 (guide will advise how to return to hotel). | Hotel, Tokyo |

Transfer to station for train to Sendai. On arrival, sightseeing of Sendai including the colourful and historic mausoleum of Zuihoden, Sendai City Museum and Sendai Castle. End at hotel. | Hotel, Sendai |
| Day 7 Sendai - Higashiyama Onsen |
After an early morning visit to Shiogama Fish Market, continue to Shiogama Shrine. Transfer to Matsushima, for cruise on Matushima Pleasure Boat, and a walking tour of Matsushima including Zuiganji Temple Approach and Godaido Temple. End at hotel. | Day 8 Higashiyama Onsen - Tokyo |
Visit Aizu Bukeyashiki Museum (former Samurai residence), Tsuraga-jo Castle and Aizu Sake Brewery Museum. After a Japanese-style lunch, visit Nisshin-kan (handicraft painting) and Goshiki-numa, ending at station for bullet train to Tokyo. For the overnight stay in Sendai and Higashiyama Onsen, we recommend you travel with just a light overnight bag.
