The Tokyo International Anime Fair is held annually at the Big Sight convention centre in Odaiba.It is one of the world's largest animation-related events, attended by over 250 Japanese and foreign tv and film production companies, as well as toy, game and software developers.
The Trade Fair section hosts booths by the major Japanese production companies such as Toei Animation, Bandai Namco and Tezuka Productions, and other companies from all over the world. The larger stands have theatres, live shows and special appearances by character actors.
In the School Zone, animation-related schools and universities, such as the Toei Animation Institute and the Osaka University of Arts, display the work of their current students.
The show also has a shopping area - the Anime Bazaar - with all kinds of anime-related goods such as posters, trading cards and figurines.
