The KANSAI THRU PASS




Kansai Thru Pass 3-day

This ticket is valid on subways, private railways and buses throughout the Kansai district. This includes Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, Wakayama and Koyasan (see map).

The pass comes in two types: 2-day and 3-day duration.

The KANSAI THRU PASS is available to tourists visiting Japan for the purpose of sightseeing.
To buy one, you must be: a foreign tourist visiting Japan from abroad on a "short stay" entry status; a Japanese national living abroad; or a person accompanying one of the former, as their guide.

Travel ideas

• Use it to travel between Kyoto or Osaka and the many places of interest in the region, such as Kobe, Mt. Hiei, Himeji, Wakayama, Nara and Mt.Koya. Use it on the bus or train (excluding JR lines. Check the map for the trains and bus routes on which the pass is valid).
• It saves trying to work out fares and buying separate tickets every time you travel.
• The card gives you discount promotions at 350 major tourist facilities in the region (usually in, or close to, railway stations).
• It can be used from Kansai Airport Station on the Nankai Train after arriving at Kansai International Airport.
• A free guidebook in English is provided.

The pass is also sold at major hotels in Osaka and Kyoto (to hotel guests only).

You will need to present your passport and fill out an application form when purchasing the ticket.
